“People living with dementia contribute nothing to society.”

People living with dementia often get unfair assumptions about their abilities. Due to this stigma, some people may try to avoid this “label” and delay or deny seeking the support they need. However, early diagnosis and intervention can help improve symptoms of dementia, slow its progression and improve quality of life.

In the upcoming Dementia Awareness Week 2023, we have prepared a series of posts to show dementia from the perspective of the person living with dementia as well as that of society. Do look out for them and share them around! Together, we can all contribute to building an inclusive and dementia-friendly society.
